I'm leading a new Sunday morning dance jam, aka Spirit Boogie, in my town (Corvallis, Or). I'm using the usual routes to spread the word, but wondering what ya'll do. How do people find dance church?
Thanks,

Re: how do you spread the word?

After almost seven years, it's very word of mouth at this point. People do find it via this Tribe.net and through such web presence as the listing on www.dne.org/dancedirectory/ and the discussion group at groups.yahoo.com/group/DanceChurch/ . Folks hear about it through the strong connection to the dance communities at the local colleges including Cabrillo College and UC Santa Cruz (Dance Church was founded by a UCSC dance grad as a student project).
Hope this helps,

But I guess that's what kind of mileage you get once you gather a core of dedicated weirdos.
I highly advocate Craigslist as a way to gather a lot of strange people quickly, but keep in mind there is very little sorting for quality if you go that route. ;-)
