I found it through friends and have never seen it advertised or publicized...

But I guess that's what kind of mileage you get once you gather a core of dedicated weirdos.

I highly advocate Craigslist as a way to gather a lot of strange people quickly, but keep in mind there is very little sorting for quality if you go that route. ;-)

Vaj,

After almost seven years, it's very word of mouth at this point. People do find it via this Tribe.net and through such web presence as the listing on http://www.dne.org/dancedirectory/ and the discussion group at http://groups.yahoo.com/group/DanceChurch/ . Folks hear about it through the strong connection to the dance communities at the local colleges including Cabrillo College and UC Santa Cruz (Dance Church was founded by a UCSC dance grad as a student project).

Hope this helps,

I'm leading a new Sunday morning dance jam, aka Spirit Boogie, in my town (Corvallis, Or). I'm using the usual routes to spread the word, but wondering what ya'll do. How do people find dance church?

Thanks,
