Molly,

Better late than never? Anyway, hope you and your friends made it to the "original" Dance Church (started in 2001).

The answer is "yes" to all your questions, and coffee is plentiful and good in Santa Cruz. (Just skip Starbuck's, but we can give you pass on Peet's ;). There are many cafés on Pacific Avenue (one block west of Front Street where Dance Church is). I like Lulu Carpenter's on the north end and Santa Cruz Coffee Roasting in the middle (across from Starbuck's) but my all time favorite (at least since Jahva House closed) is Caffe Pergolesi located two blocks west of Front Street at 418 Cedar Street where it intersects with Maple Street.

Hope to see you at Dance Church (located at the 418 Project, 418 Front Street, Santa Cruz).

Yours,

I attended dance church back in December and had such an amazing time that I'm coming back with a group of my friends from the peninsula this time. Is the schedule and location the same (9-11:30 & the building behind bus station)? Also, is it still donation-based?

And if someone could recommend a spot to stop for good coffee nearby, that'd be lovely.

Thank You!
