Hello all! I live in Sacramento, but am searching out ways to express my growing intimacy with dance, spirit, and truthfulness.
For me, dance is a way to align my body and soul with what I feel to be true, and it helps me grow in so many ways.

I hear you. My recent rediscovery of dance as artistic expression, physical exercise, social interaction, sensual connection, spiritual practice, and healing art has been a real awakening on many levels. It is not always an easy awakening as it has called into question my career choices and shown a light on my social inadequacies, but a difficult awakening seems preferable to an easy unconsciousness.
Welcome to the tribe! If you're ever in Santa Cruz for the weekend, join the congregation at the 418 Project for Dance Church. We meet from 9:00 to 11:30 AM at 418 Front Street in downtown Santa Cruz.

Tue, January 6, 2004 - 7:02 AMFor me dance is my release. It brings my body in touch with my emotions and then sends them away. I cry, sing, yell, jump around...throw my hands in the air all to shake the tension and stress and emotion free. I love to dance. I love.....to dance.
I'm actually planning a trip out to california with my daughter in June. By any chance, are children welcome?

There is some vocalization among the dancers. More would be great!
Children are very welcome. My ten-year-old daughter comes every week and loves it. Just this last Sunday in circle someone in the congregation testified that they were inspired by the movement of the children. At that point a toddler crossed the circle squealing, then two of the grownups followed suit to much joy.
It would be wonderful to see you and your daughter there this summer!

You've got no excuse not to come. You live closer to downtown Santa Cruz than I do!
