Other Dance Jams in Santa Cruz include:
* Friday Night Jam at the 418 Project which is preceded by a Contact Class at 7 PM. You can go to the class and stay for the jam for one low price.
* Contact Jam that starts at 8 PM on Wednesdays at Motion Pacific on Front Street, two doors south of the 418 Project.
* One of the dancers at Dance Church has a Saturday morning class inspired by Dance Chuch. It's at 10 AM at the 418 Project. She also has something going on Tuesday mornings at the same space.

Your post also touches on one of the intriquing aspects of free-form dance: the desire to break though personal barriers to connect with others on the dance floor. There seem to be issues of shyness, of not wanting to seem too forward, of attraction/repulsion, etc. that get in the way of what should be the natural playfulness of the dance floor. For me, the healing power of touch is one of the allures of dancing, yet I sometimes find myself unable to break through the barriers I construct between myself and others. That said, I'll be looking for your black crop pants and short curly hair on the dance floor. :) I'll be the one wearing the black dance sneakers (I hurt my feet if I dance barefoot) and you can also check my profile to see what I look like.
